soooo i didnt even play the game yet but im totally hyped. but theres one thing i can say already. the android version is not miui (the ui of xiaomi) friendly. i heard sooner that miui isnt very developer friendly. but if you want to release the final game on android too then please try to make it work. installing on miui isnt impossible but its like... a little harder. for the ones that have the same problem here is a short tutorial. i wont explain how to do the things because other people already did. to install the demo you have to turn off miui optimization in the developer settings and reboot. after that you have to turn on usb debugging and install apps via usb. now you can install the app via adb. edit: i forgot to say: after finishing the installation you can turn on miui optimization again (the ui doesnt work well without it and its pretty ugly)

The cost of translation is very high and difficult with only a small, two person studio, and we are not comfortable with crowd sourcing translations at this point. Hey! There's no player decision on that, just because that automatically doubles the art/voice acting etc. cost for those scenes. I'll happily tell you the roles for each route:
Leos route - MC bottom Fawn route - MC switch Cyne route - MC top
You'll unfortunately have to start the game again, but I may leave in a switch to jump to the end of the extended demo for those that don't want to go through it again - we'd love for the saves to be compatible, but there's a lot of new variables that need to be defined after you press start that wouldn't work with an old save. Glad you loved the demo though!!
Hey there! The Spanish option was only available in the original demo (the short, 9k word on you would have played on mobile). The demo on PC/Mac is extended to 69,000 words, and is only available in English and French for now. While we would love to slowly work on translating The Divine Speaker to a range of languages, currently the costs (20-30k per translation USD) are prohibitive for an indie group. We'll try our best in the future to look into our options!
if professional translations are too expensive you might want to consider making a crowding project out of it. Microsoft did that with the Minecraft launcher, for example. Then anyone who has a free crowdin account can translate parts of the game and the translations can then be approved or improved by others.

Yes, it could be an option, but it relies very heavily on having enough people to translate so many words, and despite being able to approve others work, it also really needs to be edited and proofread by a professional to be release ready. Plus, we aren't very comfortable with unpaid work. Thank you for the suggestion, though!

The fact Python and especially Ren'Py are free to use, open source, and allow their commercial use without even so much as a royalty, with theor developers being faceless and unappreciated by most, makes their use an extreme form of unpaid work, versus people who enjoy(ed) your work and wish to make it available to a wider audience... I played this demo a while ago but finally decided I should leave a comment. This game is extremely fun and the story is engrossing. You quickly become attached to the character and the mystery of the world that has been built. I cannot wait for the full game to come out.
Such an amazing game— if you are on the edge about whether to play it or not, all I can say is: DO IT! The extended demo is several hours of enrapturing fun and it's entirely FREE! I did not expect to fall in love with the characters to the extent that I did, but in love I fell none-the-less haha. I can't say it enough, the game is really that good. I really love this game so much! I first stumbled upon this game on freem, it was still the shortest demo, but I was already hooked. From the moment leos appeared I knew he was my type, but unfortunately the first demo didn't have much of his plot. I found your homepage and downloaded the new demo. as the plot progressed I was looking forward to the subsequent developments and the romantic storyline of each person's route. I downloaded the latest beta on patron and played through the leos line endlessly. Whether it's the main character or a supporting character, a good ending really fills people with a sense of happiness, and I feel like I'm still floating. I really want to recommend such a good story to my friends, but most of them don't want to play the game in English, which is really a pity. So I'm wondering if you have any plans to come out with a Chinese version? After all, there are already translations of the French and Japanese versions, and I would love for such a great game to be known to more people. If you have such plans, I hope I can contribute. Even though I'm not a professional translator, I really love the story, I love all the characters, and I'm confident that I can convey different emotions to the players through word translation! Had played the demo almost in one sitting and just want to say thank you thank you for reminding me what joy can a good story bring! It seems as if you had also enjoyed yourself while writing this ( and drawing, and doing all those things I have no idea about) and it brought a real delight. A possibility to emerge myself in this world had brightened my day ( night), The quirky, interesting characters, with different capabilities and own worth, beautiful backgrounds, and all that mystery, not just starting and ending on highly-controlled society and secret royal descendant but going much wider - I don't remember being both so sure of wanting to buy a game and forgetting about feeling guilty about it. No guilt, just pleasure.

Hello~! Okay so, I played the initial demo and left a review but I've just now finished the extended demo... it, again, exceeded my expectations. There are so many things about it that I want to convey so I hope I can do it properly.
First, let's start with the artwork. It had been awhile since I played the last demo so I started from the beginning and seeing all the new CG's was a real treat. It made me realize all over again how freaking beautiful and awesome your artwork is, I really love the style and character design~!!
Next, the stooorrrryyyy~! The story is so freaking interesting! The extended demo was just like a prolonged tease! I honestly forgot I was playing a demo so when it ended I was like nOOOOOOOO!!!!! XD!! I was hooked! I wanted to keep playing to find out everything and complete every route without stopping! There was even a part that scared me!! I wanna say it but I don't wanna spoil it, it surprised me so much that I couldn't help but exclaim "This isn't supposed to be a scary game!", to the point that my boyfriend looked over like "wat" XDXD!!
Lastly, the voice acting... now with this aspect, it was definitely a pleasant surprise for me. I usually play Japanese visual novels and I love LOVE their voice acting, I always steer clear of games with English voice acting because, for me personally, they always drop the ball. But, really surprisingly, I enjoyed almost all of the voice cast and that means something coming from me because I'm known as a stickler for it XD!! I was very happy about that because I was really excited for the game but scared that I wouldn't be able to deal with the voice acting so a definite shout out to the cast and the people who fit them to their characters~!
All and all, amazing job!!! You've all have successfully made me super excited and craving the full game. I didn't regret it before, but I'm even more happy to have been able to support you all from the beginning and it was super cool to see my name in the credits. It really made me proud. I love you guys and your game, you have a lifelong fan here and I'm super excited for any and all of your future projects, I will be purchasing them all XD Sorry about the super long post but keep up the excellent work~!!! I'm replaying this after a little while, this time with the voice acting enabled and, so far, (gotten back to meeting Fawn) the voices are exactly how they sounded in my head. Not to mention the fact that the story (or what I remember of it) is absolutely stellar. When the full game is released, I'd definitely be willing to pay for it. I'm hoping to see even more from you in the future, 'cause you definitely seem like someone who puts passion in their work.
i dont know how to express my thoughts and feelings but... i installed this game without any expectation, just a result of my boredom, so i would just give two hours or something to it but omg it turned out to be sooo good. i really love this game and after getting the first ending i started all over again and tried to get the all the endings and routes. i think ive spent around 11 hours overall and i would go for even more if i hadnt finished all the possible routes. im looking forward to playing the full version, youve really done a good job on this game, i appreciate everyones hardwork in this project. the story, the artwork, the backgrounds, the music, the characters... all of them were a chefs kiss. i usually dont comment on stuff but i had to do this time for such an amazing game. again, good job. <3
I'm so engrossed by the story, the artwork is magnificent and the music is sublime, fantastic work and I've only just got to the point of meeting Cyne. 5 stars for the experience so far, wish I could give it 6.
