Very cute and lovely game. It's perfect in both story and visuals. Especially loved tiny world-building with books and neighbours behind the door(so cute and kinda tragic omg).
4 endings w/o dlc are easily reachable, the only problem I had was that skipping was slow due to the amount of replies from MC (aka player) WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING OBVIOUSLY! It just makes reaching other endings a little more time-consuming with constant tapping.
Idk how will I ever be able to look at other dating sims after playing this one. Standards are too high now...
Best dating sim I've ever played I am NOT joking. Genuinely got so attached to this man it's crazy, literally kudos for all the detail and the conversations are so real and complex omg???? This is a work of ART like huhhh??? I got all the endings and the bad one made me burst into tears LMAO I love Grim so much aaaaaah you're genius for this, thank you!!! Genuinely this game has left such an impact on me and I will not be forgetting it anytime soon, idk if I ever will tbh! So one last time, thank you for making this, I enjoyed it so much. <333
Everything about this game is honestly so amazing, and the love and quality shine through it. I just finished one ending (ending 5) and I love love love the banter and flirting with lil cute grimmy. Also his real name is adorable TAT <3 bby boy. Honestly he healed MY soul, been having a rough time in life and haven't been able to sit down and relax well. solid 10/10 game <3

I JUST GOT ENDING 5, MADE ME CRY, THIS IS TOO BEAUTIFUL, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS, for real, this game made me happy after feeling like trash for a couple days, perfect gift for my birthday, which is in 8 days, I tried waiting until my birthday to play it, but, just, couldn't hold it back. hey im trying to get the dlc to work, ive tried putting it in the file and in the main folder, and ive tried installing it directly from the itch.io pc desktop app to no luck. is steam the only option for the dlc?
The desktop app won't install it correctly, but you should be able to install it by dropping it into the game folder as outlined in the instructions! It needs to be inside that folder, not alongside the .exe file.
Otherwise you can instead claim the Steam key and Steam does it all for you!
is it safe to play? I check all my game files before playing them and I also got a "Windows protected your PC" notification trying to open the application. I checked with virustotal to see, and it had a Bkav Pro detect malware red flag.
Yes it is. I just played through the entire game and my computer is fine. Sometimes malware detectors can pick up some game scripts as a red flag, but they aren't. Don't worry.

The game is just wow.I really liked it, just look at Grima's facial expressions! I'm so glad I was able to play this game and even purchased dls to support the author, you definitely deserve it for all your work! I'm looking forward to new projects, if there are any, I will definitely buy :³
On a more serious note, the amount of art and design that went into A Date with Death is really impressive!! This is such a gorgeous game, and I'm so happy it got so much love and detail during development.Both the visuals and the writing were so much fun, and genuinely make it my favourite VN I've played this year. <3

The story's pretty cute, but I also want to voice my appreciation for the details! The neighbors side plot? The functional (!) apps in the computer? The books/diary excerpts? Amazing work!!
Also, his little >:< blushing expression is THE BEST aha, I felt accomplished whenever I saw it. MC can be such a menace (affectionate) to him and I love that for them <3
This game is everything and anything i could have asked for in a visual novel romance game!!!! the art is beautiful, the ending are heartwarming or heartbreaking and i love both! you get invested in the game and i love the aspects of the working computer and the many games and options on it! me and a friend have been playing for so long and are amazed by how great the game is! once i get paid im 100% getting the dlc! the only thing i’ve been wondering is what his voice would sound like? you know? but regardless this is an amazing game and i hope for more dlcs!!
