I don't know if you can answer this, but as I'm in Germany, the adult patch is unavailable to me on Steam. I assume the itch.io adult patch is incompatible with the Steam version? Do I have to get the game/DLC a second time to access the adult patch, this time via itch.io? (I honestly wouldn't mind it that much because I truly love adwd, but money is always tight.)
Edit: I could have just tried it before writing this comment, as I dropped the file from itch.io into my game folder from Steam and it shows up as installed. I'll test it out another time.
I'm curious, I've been wanting to download the DLC for a while now, but I noticed on Steam it shows two separate DLC options, but on here it only shows the one? I was curious why that might be? as I try to avoid buying through Steam if I can avoid it, I don't like that if they delete a game I lose all access to it, vs on Itch, where once I download it I don't need to worry, but that second DLC on Steam has me confused?
for the expansion dlc you'll have to download the file first just like any other itch.io game, then unzip/extract the files like any other game, but then go into the unzipped file itself, not the original game file so that you can see the dlc.rpa file. then while having this open, open up the original unzipped base game files until you see the game folder inside of it. navigate back to where you found dlc.rpa and drag that specific file (not the full folder) into the game folder inside of the unzipped base game files.
i hope this helps, i can take screenshots and stuff and circle things if you're still confused :)

Yes, you can use the itch version with Steam, for future reference!
